EVRC is a fun, friendly running club with a full mixture of runners. Some are all about their times, some just want medals and others simply enjoy the company of running with like-minded people.
There are two club runs a week and a coached ‘efforts’ session, and members frequently run at local events including Evesham parkrun on Saturdays.
Please feel free to come along to a couple of club runs to ‘try before you buy’ and see if you would enjoy being a club member.
We meet on Mondays at the Trumpet at 7pm for a run which lasts 45-60 minutes and could be between 5-10km (3-6 miles). People run in groups of similar speeds, and you’ll always find someone to run with. If you can run 5k in 40 minutes you will find someone to join you. If you can’t, then it might be worth trying our Couch25k program.
Wednesdays at the Trumpet at 7pm for ‘efforts’ sessions – these are coached by a qualified club member and will focus on aspects of running like speed or hills. Suitable for all abilities – hard work, but very rewarding.
On Thursdays at 7pm we meet at Evesham Leisure Centre. Normally a smaller, social group – the focus is on fun rather than speed. A great way to catch-up and get to know people.
In addition, your membership will give you discounts at most England Athletics affiliated races – typically £2 per race. You can probably find a lift to share and friendly faces to run with at most nearby events.
We also have several social events during the year, culminating in our Christmas party every December.
